In Saint Paul, We’re Looking for Lucy! The Saint Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau, Capital City Partnership and the City of Saint Paul are excited present the third PEANUTS celebration on the streets of Saint Paul and tribute to creator and native Saint Paulite Charles M. Schulz… Looking for Lucy.
Looking for Lucy begins June 2002 and runs through September. 103 statues with the likeness of Lucy Van Pelt, America's favorite crabby fussbudget will adourn the streets of downtown Saint Paul. Get ready for a photo opportunity of a lifetime.
Lucy Tours: Capital City Trolleys are offering guided tours of the Looking for Lucy promtion. The tours run Tuesday - Friday and Sunday, 10 a.m to 4 p.m. The Tours start at the Science Museum of Minnesota and travel a continuous route through downtown Saint Paul, to Grand Ave and back to the Science Museum. The full tour takes approximately 45 minutes. Riders may board and exit as many times at they would like. Cost is $5 for. Celebrity Lucy's! Begining in July, five new statues designed by celebrity artists will hit the streets. Here is a list, the unveiling and the location of the celebrity statues:
Lucy Loves Torii Sponsor: MN Twins This statue was unveiled Sunday, July 14 at the Metrodome. It will be displayed in front of Fhimas Restaurant (6th and Wabasha in the Lawson Building) for the duration of the summer.
Follow Your Dreams Lucy This Lucy will be traveling throughout the summer and was design by explorer and Minnesota native Ann Bancroft.
Some Enchanted Lucy This is the statue designed by Mary GrandPre, the illustrator for the Harry Potter books. It is on display in front of Café Latte on Grand Avenue.Celebrity Statues

Aug 28 - Lucy Day at the Minnesota State Fair
Mid-Sept: 103 Lucy statues gathered in downtown Saint Paul This is the best opportunity to see all the statues in one visit.
Sept 28 - Lucy Lawn Party Featuring great events for the whole family.
Early Oct: Lucy statues moved to Mall of America
Oct. 13: Live auction at the Mall of America Proceeds benefit the Charles Schulz scholarship and memorial.
Visit the Snoopy Doghouse The Snoopy Doghouse Information Booth returns in 2002. Located at the Science Museum Plaza on Kellogg Boulevard, the Doghouse provides visitors with information on Looking for Lucy including souvenir maps and visitor guides. Guests can sign the Doghouse visitor book and place a pin on a map, indicating the location of their hometown. Last year, over 25,000 visitors from 61 countries and all 50 states, stopped by the Doghouse. To volunteer in the Doghouse, call Tammy Schlottke at (651) 265-4923 or [email protected].
