GRAND AVENUE AREA RESTAURANTS
Grand Avenue is one of Saint Paul's most popular neighborhood shopping and dining areas. It features unique shops, art galleries and bookstores as well as a wide variety of ethnic restaurants. Located less than two miles from downtown, Grand Avenue had its origins in the 1870s as a transportation link between downtown and the neighborhoods to the west. Although the streetcars are gone, the historic look and feel remain. Grand Avenue is an upbeat, active neighborhood shopping area that visitors enjoy year-round. It parallels the famed Summit Avenue, located one block north.
