2004 NHL ALL-STAR WEEKEND BY THE NUMBERS
NEW YORK (Jan. 13, 2004) - Numbers do not often tell the whole story, but when it comes to the 2004 NHL All-Star Weekend in the Twin Cities, some worthy facts and figures reveal a grand-scale event. Check out the numbers below to learn what it takes to create a world-class All-Star atmosphere:

Number of fans who will be at the arena to watch NHL All-Star Saturday, featuring the Kellogg?s Frosted Flakes/NHL All-Star Practice, the YoungStars Game presented by Upper Deck and Dodge/NHL SuperSkills Competition, and the NHL All-Star Game: more than 57,000

Number of guests expected to descend upon the Twin Cities for the 2004 NHL All-Star Weekend: 5,000

The festivities celebrating the 2004 NHL All-Star Weekend begin Tuesday, Feb. 3 when NHL All-Star FANtasy opens its doors to the public at 4 p.m., CT. Tickets ($15 for adults, $11 for children, and free for kids under two) are still available at all Ticketmaster outlets and at the Wild arena box office. Tickets ($15 for adults, $11 for children) also may be purchased for the Kellogg?s Frosted Flakes/NHL All-Star Practice, which will take place Saturday, Feb. 7 at 9:30 a.m., CT, through Ticketmaster outlets or the Wild arena box office.

NHL All-Star Saturday, featuring the NHL YoungStars Game presented by Upper Deck and the Dodge/NHL SuperSkills Competition, starts at 6:45 p.m., CT on Feb. 7, and may be seen live on ESPN in the United States and CBC and RDS in Canada. The 2004 NHL All-Star Game may be seen live on ABC in the U.S. and CBC and RDS in Canada starting at 2 p.m., CT. During the intermissions, the NHL will announce the members of the NHL Legendary All-Star Team presented by Nextel, and will have one lucky fan Shoot for a Million Bucks as part of a promotion presented by POWERade.
