Saint Paul Introduces Passport to Fun this Summer City Lures Tourists to Town with Valuable Prizes for Visiting Attractions

(Saint Paul, MN) Tourists have an added incentive to visit Saint Paul this summer, as the city is introducing a passport game, enabling visitors to win valuable prizes by frequenting some of the capital city's most popular attractions.
The Menards Saint Paul Passport to Fun game, designed by the Saint Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Saint Paul, encourages visitors to discover many of the city's greatest assets by offering valuable prizes for visiting select attractions between early July and mid-October.
"Saint Paul is a destination for arts, culture and entertainment venues and we hope the Saint Paul Passport to Fun game will encourage residents from the city, state and region to come and explore the many cultural gems the capital city has to offer," said Saint Paul Mayor Randy Kelly.
Participating attractions include the Menards Saint Paul store, Cathedral of Saint Paul, Como Park, Zoo and Conservatory, Historic Fort Snelling, James J. Hill House, Landmark Center, Minnesota Children's Museum, Minnesota History Center, Minnesota State Capitol, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Science Museum of Minnesota and Xcel Energy Center.
To enter, participants will be required to visit each attraction or location and have their passport officially stamped. When all locations have been visited, the completed passport booklet must be submitted for entry in the prize drawing. Prizes include a Kid's Clubhouse Climber, provided by Menards and a 25 foot Hornet travel trailer courtesy of Imperial Camper Sales.
Passports will be available beginning July 8 at all participating attractions, the Saint Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau offices, area hotels and information centers,
the Mall of America Explore Store and at all 11 Minnesota Travel Information Centers located throughout the state. Passports will also be distributed at area festivals and events including Ribfest July 28-31, Highland Fest August 12-14, Saint Paul Inline Marathon August 21, Minnesota State Fair August 25-September 5, KARE 11 Diana Pierce Fitness Walks August 13 and September 17 and at various events within Rice Park, Como Park and the Science Museum of Minnesota.
"Saint Paul hosts many exciting festivals ranging from annual events such as Taste of Minnesota, Highland Fest and the State Fair to special events such as the Capitol Centennial Celebration and the Saint Paul Inline Marathon," said Karolyn Kirchgesler, President of the Saint Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau. "We hope the Saint Paul Passport to Fun game entices visitors who come for these festivals to discover all the fabulous attractions the city offers year round, and we look forward to welcoming new as well as repeat visitors to Saint Paul this summer."
Completed passports must be submitted in person or by mail to the Saint Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau offices located in the RiverCentre complex at 175 W. Kellogg Blvd, Suite 502, Saint Paul, MN, 55102 no later than October 7. The prize drawing for the Menards Kid's Clubhouse Climber and the Imperial Camper will take place in Rice Park on October 14.
