The RCVA appoints Mark Dziuk as New Director of Sports Marketing & Sales
(Saint Paul, MN) The Saint Paul RiverCentre Convention and Visitors Authority (RCVA) announced the appointment of Mark Dziuk as its new Director of Sports Marketing & Sales. Dziuk has been with the RCVA for five years as the Group Tour Sales Manager and recently added Event and Convention Service responsibilities as well. In both of those roles, he served groups of clients visiting or conducting business in Saint Paul, helping them to make the most of their time in the city. "Mark's extensive knowledge of Saint Paul, his infectious enthusiasm and service-oriented attitude make him a great asset to the RCVA, and have prepared him well for his role as Director of Sports Marketing & Sales," said Vice President of Marketing Brad Toll. Dziuk, who is also a Saint Paul resident, welcomes the opportunity to work with the first rate professional sports and college facilities the city has to offer as well as continuing to sell a city he loves. "This is truly a dream job for me, as I love Saint Paul and I am a huge sports fan," said Dziuk. "As Director of Sports Marketing & Sales, I'll be able to combine these two passions in my work and I look forward to bringing many new national sporting events to Saint Paul." In his new role, Dziuk will be the liaison to the Saint Paul Sports Council, a group comprised of sports organizations, indoor and outdoor entertainment venues, businesses and marketing organizations charged with attracting major sporting events to the city. Saint Paul has a successful track record of hosting national sporting events, most recently hosting the Visa Championships USA Gymnastics Tournament August 16-19. The city will also welcome thousands of fans to the Xcel Energy Center for USA Figure Skating Championships January 20-27, 2008.
