Saint Paul Offers Several New Activities for Groups this Summer
Saint Paul, MN (May 29, 2007) The Saint Paul RiverCentre Convention and Visitors Authority continues to offer new attractions and exhibits that have a strong appeal for groups. Here are a few gems you'll want to consider when planning visits to Saint Paul.

World War II Memorial
Saint Paul will dedicate its new WWII Memorial at a ceremony to be held on June 9, 2007, at which veterans from around the state will be honored with a medal. This lasting tribute to Minnesota's brave WWII veterans is located at the State Capitol Grounds.

Science Museum of Minnesota - A Day in Pompeii (June 27 through January 6)
In 79 AD the Roman city of Pompeii was buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The debris and ash that so suddenly ended life in Pompeii also entombed the city in a virtual time capsule, making it one of the world's most complete archeological sites. Visitors to the exhibit will see wall-sized frescoes, marble and bronze sculptures, coins, jewelry and even casts of some of the victims of the eruption. 651-221-9444 or www.smm.org.

Diggin' Dinos
In 2007, the Science Museum of Minnesota will also celebrate its Centennial with special visitors - artist-designed dinosaur sculptures will deck downtown parks and sidewalks throughout the summer months. Maps of the Diggin' Dinos are available at the museum.

Valleyfair's New Renegade Roller Coaster
Valleyfair's newest ride - the Renegade Outlaw Coaster - has enough twists, turns, speed and s-curves to delight even the most adventurous thrill seekers. The 104-ft. tall coaster reaches speeds of 52 miles per hour. A nostalgic fact: Renegade is the first wooden coaster to be built at Valleyfair since the popular High Roller was introduced in 1976.
