Saint Paul RCVA Adds New Staff Members

Saint Paul, MN (October 24, 2007) The Saint Paul RiverCentre Convention and Visitors Authority (RCVA) announced the addition of several new staff members in the Convention Sales, Marketing and Administrative Departments.
Eric Satre and Dawn Rough have joined the Convention Sales Department as Convention Sales Managers. Satre will handle the Education, Government and Labor Union Markets. He brings a wealth of experience from the hotel industry, having worked at the Days Inn, Eagan as well as the AmericInn in Rogers, where he served as Director of Sales for three years. Rough will manage the Religious, Cultural, Fine Arts, Libraries, Fraternal, Hobby and Vocational Markets. She has a rich background within the Twin Cities hospitality community, having worked at several hotels as well as at the Minneapolis Metro North CVB as Director of Marketing, Sales and Tourism.
The Marketing Department welcomes Adam Johnson as its new Marketing Projects Directors, where he will oversee various marketing projects and tourism initiatives. Johnson is well acquainted with Saint Paul, having worked for the Skyway YMCA downtown Saint Paul as well as for the Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation.
Mary Butikis will be the new Membership and Convention Services Coordinator, assisting with membership duties as well as convention services and housing functions. Mary most recently headed up the Grand Avenue Business Association and also served the organization as membership services manager.
Caroline Lindval will serve as Executive Assistant to RCVA President Karolyn Kirchgesler. Lindval brings years of administrative experience, as well as extensive knowledge of Saint Paul to the position as she was recently the administrative assistant for Capital City Partnership.
RCVA Vice President of Sales and Marketing Karen Madlock welcomes the new hires and feels that the staff is now prepared to handle the big year ahead of it in 2008.
"I'm very pleased that we have succeeded in attracting such high caliber employees with experience in the hospitality industry as well as a familiarity with Saint Paul," said Madlock. "We face many challenges and opportunities in 2008, including hosting major conventions and events such as the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, Pheasant's Forever, the Family Motor Coach Association and the Republican National Convention." With the addition of these new staff members, we are geared up to welcome these groups to Saint Paul and enjoy a year of unprecedented success."
