Landmark Center
Before your evening at the theater, stop for a visit at one of the Ordway's Rice Park neighbors, Landmark Center, a majestic pink marble "castle" that has become the arts center of the city. Constructed as the Federal Courts building in 1902, it was saved from demolition in 1972 and is now home to many performing and visual arts organizations and features the main gallery of the Minnesota Museum of American Art. The Landmark also hosts an annual Scottish Ramble, St. Patrick's Day and other ethnic celebrations and the Holiday Craft Bazaar, which are open to the public.
