home : tour planners : why Saint Paul

Saint Paul, Minnesota's capital city, is perfect for your next group tour destination!  Saint Paul combines the old, the new and the unique.  You will find it to be a "European style" charming and historic city that has many treasures to offer your groups.  The city sits on the bluffs overlooking the mighty Mississippi River, and visitors are just minutes away from some of the most scenic urban lakes in the United States.  Downtown features a number of historic buildings, including the State Capitol, Saint Paul's Cathedral, the Fitzgerald Theater (home to Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion"), the Landmark Center, The Saint Paul Hotel, as well as breathtaking views of the Mississippi.  The majority of the attractions, theaters and museums are located in the heart of downtown Saint Paul, and I encourage you to use the nearby hotels.  You will find our group rates to be very reasonable and our downtown hotels are within minutes of many of the attractions and theaters.  Most are skyway connected to the rest of downtown.  We have a wide selection of fine dining and casual restaurants that work very well with tour groups.

Saint Paul, bursting with new buildings and ideas, is an unknown "gem" in the tour market.  Saint Paul's renaissance is born out in our Science Museum of Minnesota, the Xcel Energy Center (home of the Minnesota Wild) and the beautifully designed Harriet Island Regional Park.  Your group will marvel at Saint Paul's Old World charm.  Summit Avenue boasts one of the longest stretches of virtually uninterrupted residential Victorian architecture in the United States--beginning at the European-style Saint Paul Cathedral and running 4 1/2 miles to the Mississippi River.
